THE COBRA WILL SMOKE: US planes arrive in Brazil with helicopters for war simulation

Two of the largest aircraft in the world, the C-17 Globemaster type, landed in Brazil yesterday, the 21st, bringing soldiers from the United States and a helicopter in each Boeing. According to the FAB (Brazilian Air Force), the helicopters and 50 soldiers went to Mato Grosso do Sul to participate in a training to simulate a war.

The exercises include strike missions, aerospace reconnaissance, aerial infiltration, and combat search and rescue, the military says. The exercises will run until September 3, when 30 aircraft and 16 air and infantry units will participate in the training in Campo Grande, the capital of Mato Grosso do Sul.

The Americans landed in Brazil for “an opportunity to exchange experiences and develop doctrine,” says the FAB in a statement, “contributing to the country’s possible participation in missions carried out under the United Nations (UN) peace agreements.” This participation in missions, says the FAB, serves to establish “world order and peace,” in addition to ensuring international commitments, “guaranteeing sovereignty, territorial integrity and patrimonial defense.”

The two large aircraft returned to the United States late yesterday afternoon, but will return to pick up their crews and helicopters on August 29. com https://agorarn.com.br
