A bandit committed an unusual crime in Washington, USA, and notified local authorities on Thursday (8). The man was filmed by security cameras and broke into a house in Covington, 60 kilometers from Seattle, while everyone was sleeping upstairs.
As the area suffered a severe heatwave last week, he entered through an open window. The suspect then decided to use the bathroom, laundry room and steal the refrigerator.
The owner only noticed the intrusion when he entered the couple's bedroom. Resident Amy Padgett told NBC that she was shocked when she saw him standing in front of her room.
“He asked if he could come back and get his shoes,” Padgett said. “At that point my husband said no, ‘You really have to get out of our house.’”
When he realized the owner had woken up, the man tried to leave. She said that while they were sleeping, he used the kitchen and ate some of the food at home.
The waffles are still in the toaster, and even a bag of frozen food. According to police, the suspect managed to escape but was detained wandering around the area.
