It was only when Aras confronted the STF that Alexandre de Moraes responded to the request of the Attorney General's Office.
The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, archived the investigation opened to investigate alleged anti-democratic acts that occurred in the first half of last year.
Moraes, however, opened a new line of investigation to find out:
“The presence of strong evidence and significant proof pointing to the existence of a true criminal organization, with strong digital activity and with production, publishing, financing and political centers absolutely similar to those identified in Inquiry 4,781, with the clear purpose of attacking Democracy and the Rule of Law.”

The investigation filed by Alexandre de Moraes investigated the organization and financing of demonstrations that took to the streets last year.
The request to open the investigation was made by the PGR one day after President Jair Bolsonaro participated in a demonstration in front of the Army HQ.
