Pfizer's general manager for Latin America, Carlos Murillo, in testimony to the Covid-19 Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI), caused the main arguments of rapporteur Renan Calheiros against the Bolsonaro government to “fall to the ground”.
According to Murillo, the famous letter, cited at every turn in the CPI, sent by Pfizer to Brazil was not a sales proposal. According to the pharmaceutical executive, it was just a form of “courtesy”.
“The letter sent to the president and ministers is not considered by our company to be an offer of vaccines to Brazil. It was just a way for us to establish initial contact,” he said.
