Find out who can receive the gas voucher benefit in 2023 and how you can register. The calendar will have the first installment of the year deposited in February/23.
Created by Law No. 14,237 of November 19, 2021 and regulated by Decree No. 10,881 of December 2, 2021, Auxílio Gás is the Federal Government's program to reduce the price of cooking gas and help the budget of low-income families.
The amount is released into a digital bank account and if the family does not have one, a digital social savings account will be automatically opened. The installment validity is 120 days, counted from the date the benefit is made available in the payment option.
Those who already receive other benefits will be able to receive the Gas Aid without any problems, and the amounts will not be computed as income in the Single Registry. The granting of the benefit is personal, temporary and non-transferable and does not generate any acquired rights for anyone.
Who can use the Vale Gás service?
Those who are entitled to receive it are families registered with Cadunico, who have a family income less than or equal to half the minimum wage, and can receive other benefits from the Federal government.
In the case of Auxílio Brasil, or Bolsa Família, the family income limit for those applying for Auxílio Gás will not be included in the calculation. The program will also help those who have people who receive BCP (Continuous Benefit Payment).
Payment is made to the Family Leader, preferably a woman, who must be indicated in the Cadúnico registry. If the family has BCP beneficiaries, and there is no woman to be responsible for the family, the payment may be made to another holder.
How to register for the Gas Aid Benefit?
You must register with the Single Registry, which is the first step to becoming part of the Government's social programs. This registration must be done in person and you must keep your entire family's information up to date.
The service is provided by the decentralized management offices of each city, and each one provides a different service. The waiting time is approximately one hour to be served.
It is important to emphasize that registration in the Single Registry does not guarantee that you will be part of the program. A selection of families is made through a computerized program, and based on the data provided, the benefit is granted or not.
Furthermore, the Federal Government also respects the Program's budget limit. The service is free for all citizens, and registration in Cadúnico must always be up to date.
About Gas Aid for the year 2023
In this year of 2023, payment of the Gas Aid, which will benefit more than 5.95 million families. The amount paid will be that of a 13kg LPG cylinder.
This aid was created to minimize the impacts of high inflation in cooking gas prices, due to the high social vulnerability of families in the country. Every two months, a payment of R$110 will be released for families receiving Auxilio Brasil and BCP.
Gas Aid is always paid bimonthly, every two months, in an amount corresponding to the average price of a 13kg LPG gas cylinder. The adjustment is made according to the prices informed by the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels).
To be eligible, as we said above, you must be registered in the Single Registry, with a monthly per capita family income less than or equal to half the minimum wage, including families that already benefit from a Federal Government program.
O Ministry of Citizenship warned that there will be a registration review that will be carried out every two months, so even if the family is approved for payment of the benefit, it may still be blocked if there is any inconsistency in the data.
Receiving Gas Aid 2023
The receipt of the Gas Aid is made in a Caixa digital bank account, and if the family does not have access, the account will be opened automatically. The beneficiary will have up to 120 days to withdraw the amount, counting from the date the benefit was made available.
The woman, the head of the family, will be responsible for receiving the money, and she must be the one indicated in the registration. If she is not present, another person may receive the amount.
The benefit payment dates for 2023 have already been announced and the deposit will occur together with the payment of Family Allowance. To find out whether your family will be eligible for either benefit, you can check through the Caixa App.
The Auxilio Brasil App is also available for Android and iOS phones. The release of funds follows the order of the final digit of the NIS, as is already done in the payment of social benefits.
