We recently commented on a survey carried out by the Paraná Pesquisas Institute, which shows a favorable scenario for President Jair Bolsonaro's reelection in 2022.

In another study, released this Saturday, January 30, it shows that a large part of the population is against the impeachment of the Chief Executive.

As we reported, left-wing parties and some that claim to be right-wing, as well as movements such as Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL) and Vem Pra Rua are calling for Bolsonaro's removal.

Last week, motorcades were held in some parts of Brazil calling for impeachment, however the result was not as good as expected, with few supporters.

IstoÉ Magazine even published an editorial saying that society as a whole is calling for President Bolsonaro's removal, but the results of opinion polls show that the President is closer to reelection than ever.

According to the survey released today, 38.8% of those interviewed are in favor of Bolsonaro's impeachment, while the vast majority, made up of 56.4%, are against.

As for those who did not know how to answer or did not give an opinion, there were 4.8%.

The survey also shows that the level of approval for impeachment increases among younger respondents, reaching 53.3% in the 16 to 24 age group. In the 25 to 34 and 35 to 44 age groups, the percentage of people against impeachment reaches 59%.

Rejection of impeachment was identified in almost all segmentations carried out by the Paraná Pesquisas Institute, which are divided by age, education, employment status and region of residence.

The exception is the opinion of the younger electorate, between 16 and 24 years old. In this group, impeachment is defended by 53.5% of those interviewed and rejected by 41.5%.

As for the percentage that approve the impeachment of the President by region of Brazil, these are the numbers:

North: 40.5%;

Northeast: 43.2%;

Midwest: 40%;

Southeast: 37.4%;

South: 33.1%.
