Pastor Silas Malafaia, leader of the Assembleia de Deus Vitória em Cristo, once again criticized this Tuesday, 6, the choice of President Jair Bolsonaro to occupy Celso de Mello's seat in the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
Despite having promised that the next minister would be “terribly evangelical”, Bolsonaro appointed judge Kassio Nunes Marques, which has generated outrage among his supporters.
“Bolsonaro voters were expecting someone who was legally prepared, but terribly right-wing. That was the hope of the voters, but surprisingly, the president became a campaigner and lawyer for a Supreme Court nominee. Not even PT presidents Lula and Dilma were lawyers for nominees,” Malafaia said in a video posted on his social media.
In recent days, the president has defended Nunes, who was called a “communist” and accused of being an ally of the Workers’ Party (PT).
