A Guanabara bus caught fire on the night of last Monday (09/05), near a gas station in Pindoretama, in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza/CE. The information is from Diário do Nordeste.
The company reported, in a statement, that the fire occurred after a passenger smoked hidden in the vehicle's bathroom, which was traveling from Natal to Fortaleza and was undergoing maintenance.
According to the company, there were no victims or damage to the passengers' luggage, which was removed from the bus before the flames spread.
Another bus was sent for customers to continue their journey.
The Fire Department was called and put out the fire.
