Both women have a profile that appeals to the general public. They are young, determined women with a solid work history. On one side, there is Daniella, who is serving her first term in the Legislative Assembly of Maranhão, with a praised and recognized management. The deputy is considered one of the most active and active voices in favor of municipalism in Maranhão. Daniella also has in her favor the authorship of important projects that are now sanctioned laws in the state, with an emphasis on provisions that guarantee greater protection for women and combat domestic violence. In fact, the female cause gained prominence in the ALEMA plenary thanks to the intense work of the deputy, who currently coordinates the Parliamentary Front to Combat and Eradicate Femicide and heads the Women's Attorney's Office of the Parliamentary House.
On the other hand, there is Amanda Gentil, a civil engineer who accepted the challenge of leading one of the most important municipal departments in Caxias, the Government Secretariat. The inequality between men and women in politics is huge. We are making slow progress. It is encouraging that we are breaking the record for candidates. More women are taking up the fight. The importance of women in politics lies in the plurality of thought, points of view, priorities and sensitivity. Women have a level of commitment, discipline and organization that is very beneficial to politics.
