Minister Sergio Moro was elected one of the 50 people who marked the decade by the newspaper “Financial Times”.
The newspaper, one of the most important in the world, cites Moro's performance as a first instance judge leading the Lava Jato investigations. “From his position as a judge in a provincial Brazilian city, Sergio Moro led a corruption investigation that shook the political establishment of Latin America.”
The list of the 50 most important people in the world includes politicians, businessmen, athletes and activists who “reflect the development” of the last ten years. “The second decade of the 21st century began with austerity measures to deal with the slowdown caused by the global financial crisis and ended with populist governments and illiberal regimes around the world.”
In addition to Moro, there are politicians such as Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel. Representing technology and the economy are Jeff Bezos, Tim Cook, Bill and Melina Gates, Elon Musk, Thomas Piketty, Kylie Jenner and Elizabeth Holmes.
