Disfigured during its passage through the Chamber of Deputies, Justice Minister Sérgio Moro's anti-crime package is expected to have sections excluded by the senators restored. The bills that include points from the anti-crime package were presented by Senator Elmano Férrer (Podemos-PI) and have already been forwarded to the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ).
There is no scheduled date for the vote. Among the points that the projects return to are videoconference hearings; the so-called “plea bargain” and new causes that will interrupt the statute of limitations (read details below).
