There has been a lot of talk about the series released on September 17th by Netflix, Squid Game. The story, which stars Lee Jung-jae, involves a group of people who risk their lives by participating in a mysterious survival game where the winner will take home a billion-dollar prize.
In the plot, all the participants are people who have large financial debts and are desperate for money, so they end up submitting themselves to the unhealthy competition in order to get the final prize.
The prize for the winner of the competition is 45.6 billion South Korean won, which would be equivalent to R$ 208.5 million, in reais at the current exchange rate.
Given this amount, how much would the debt of the main characters be? And how much is the slap in the face worth? With this in mind, Netflix Brazil converted the large sums of the new hit from won, the South Korean currency, to our real and put an end to this curiosity of viewers.
Check below how much the total values would be according to the platform:
Game Prize: R$ 208,845,119.58
Sang-Woo's Debt: R$ 27,479,621.00
Seong Gi-hun's debt: R$ 732,789.89
Horse race prize: R$ 20,609.72
A slap in the face: R$ 457.99
It is worth mentioning that so far only the first season, which consists of 9 episodes, is available and this was enough for the series to become one of the biggest phenomena on the streaming platform.
