 The CNH categories available in the program may vary according to the state and the rules of each region. Category A is quite popular on the program, as many candidates seek opportunities in the market as motorcycle couriers.

Category B entitles the driver to drive four-wheeled vehicles, such as cars, trucks and utility vehicles, with a total gross weight of up to 3,500 kg and a maximum capacity of 8 seats, excluding the driver. This is another very popular category, as it allows you to drive cars for personal or professional use.

The ACC category allows the driving of mopeds, two-wheeled vehicles with an engine of up to 50 cylinders and a maximum speed of 50 km/h. This category is less common, but may be offered in some state programs.

Some federative units also may include categories C, D and E, intended for driving cargo and passenger vehicles, such as trucks and buses. However, this is less common and may depend on the availability of resources and public policies in each state.

The candidate must check the specific dates and requirements for enrolling in the program in the state where they reside and register within the established deadline.

The body responsible for implementing the CNH Social program in the state will select candidates based on the established eligibility criteria. The results will be published, and those selected must follow the instructions to continue the process.

After being selected, the candidate must enroll in a CFC, also known as a driving school, that is accredited in the CNH Social program.

Before starting theoretical classes, the candidate must undergo a medical and psychotechnical examinations, which assess your physical and mental fitness to drive a vehicle.

The candidate must attend mandatory theoretical classes, which cover topics such as traffic legislation, defensive driving, first aid and other relevant subjects. After completing the classes, the candidate will take the theoretical exam.

With the passing the theory exam, the candidate will begin practical driving classes, which are also mandatory. Upon completing the established number of hours, the candidate will take the practical driving test.

If approved in the theoretical and practical exams, the candidate will receive their Social Driver's License. The license will have the same validity and functionalities as a driver's license obtained through the regular process, allowing the driver to drive legally according to the chosen category.
