Dias Toffoli continues his open attack on Lava Jato. The Public Ministry was left to take the blame, which was called an agency with “no transparency”.
He said the operation “broke” Brazilian companies.
In an interview with Estadão, the former PT lawyer simply forgot that Lava-Jato should, in the coming years – reach R$14 billion in recovered public money.
Regarding transparency, the inquiry “opened by himself” to investigate the enemies of the Supreme Court speaks for itself.
In the same interview in which he accused Lava Jato of destroying companies, Dias Toffoli praised Jair Bolsonaro:
“He has a constant discourse for the base that elected him, but he also has the ability to engage in dialogue. He is a person who is often judged by what he says, but he has excellent people and areas in his government that are working very well. I won’t say which ones they are, because then I would be saying which ones are not doing well. But they are areas of excellence, they have done wonderful work, and they have been in constant dialogue with institutions. The impression, curiously, is that this is a government with a more isolated, more sectarian message for a certain segment of society, and not a government for everyone. But, on a daily basis, public policies are being developed, such as in the area of infrastructure. In the area of the economy, there has always been a broad dialogue with parliament. And right here in the Supreme Court.”
