Deltan is one of the most dedicated and competent professionals I know. He has honored the Public Prosecutor's Office since he joined its ranks.
Therefore, I regret even more this decision by the CNMP, which saw the exercise of criticism as a reason for warning and punishment.
Respectfully and sincerely, I cannot see in Deltan's statement that three Supreme Court justices, through certain decisions, "sent a message of leniency towards corruption to society", a disrespectful or offensive message. He even expressly stated that he was not saying that they were ill-intentioned.
This is a criticism made with respect, the exercise of which is fundamental in a Democratic State of Law.
I believe that what Brazilian society expects and needs from members of the Public Prosecutor's Office is that they act, speak out, criticize, do not conform, do not remain silent or remain silent, both inside and outside the proceedings. That's what I think.
