There is no record of a strike or protest by truck drivers in the country so far, despite the category's strike that was scheduled to start at 5 am this Monday (16.December 2019). The information comes from the federal government, which has been monitoring the movement through the local press in the states and on social media.

The strike was scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. today. However, according to the press office of the Ministry of Infrastructure, all roads are clear and trucks are circulating normally. The government had already indicated that the chances of the strike taking place were slim, due to the lack of mobilization by truck drivers. One of the main demands of the movement is a change in the prices of gasoline, diesel and cooking gas by Petrobras.
