The judge's advisor confirmed that the image that went viral on social media “is not fake”
A photo of the honorable (…sic…) minister Dias Toffoli wearing a campaign t-shirt and a PT cap was one of the most shared images in recent days.
The STF's communications office told the UOL portal that the photo is real and was taken between the end of the 80s and the beginning of the 90s:
“The photo is about 30 years old, when Toffoli was studying at the USP [University of São Paulo] Law School. It must have been taken at a reception party for university freshmen,” said the press office.
Nominated to the STF by former president Lula, Dias Toffoli never hid his former ties to the PT.
It is worth remembering that the current president of the STF held the position of deputy head of the Legal Affairs area of the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, during the management of the [corrupt] minister of the Civil House, José Dirceu.
