A guy named Sérgio Paladini, one of the founders of the Workers' Party (PT), offended the Brazilian people.
During an interview, when asked what would be needed to defeat the Right, the PT member made his character very clear and said that they (leftists) would “need weapons, lots of weapons”, implying that the rightists should be shot.
Soon after, in a very heated manner, Paladini launched a series of low-level insults against the Brazilians.
“I think that to defeat this kind of people, we will need weapons, lots of weapons. There are so many scoundrels, so many fascists, that I think that with all the weapons we had, we would run out of ammunition. I say that we would run out of ammunition because the arguments that we can have through the press do not reach the mediocrity of the Brazilian ear. They do not know how to listen. They are not semi-literate, they are venal. Brazilians are disgusting little things.”
Then, after being interrupted, he said: “The Brazilian people, regardless of Globo, regardless of Rede Bandeirantes, live off bribes, live off tips, live off little things.” […] He is not conservative, he is corrupt, he is rotten. The Brazilian people are rotten, rotten.”
