The suspended governor of Rio, Wilson Witzel, said on Wednesday night (23) that the process he has undergone is “absolutely unfair”. He presented his defense speech at 8 pm, before the impeachment vote.
Witzel had promised to defend himself in person, but spoke via video conference at the Rio de Janeiro Legislative Assembly (Alerj) session.
– What has happened is absolutely unfair. I have not had the right to speak either in the Assembly or in the courts. I am being lynched morally and politically without having the right to defend myself – he said.
