Federal deputy David Miranda sent, this Tuesday (21), a representation against President Jair Bolsonaro to the Attorney General's Office (PGR) due to the speech made by the head of the Executive at the opening of the UN General Assembly.
The parliamentarian claims that the president's statements were “covered in falsehoods and illegalities” with regard to issues such as corruption, the environment, early treatment and the September 7 demonstrations.
In the request, the deputy questions the president's statement that “we have gone 2 years and 8 months without any concrete case of corruption”, citing suspicions of irregularities in the case of the Covaxin vaccine, which are being investigated by the Covid CPI.
He also points out “uncontrolled deforestation in Brazilian biomes, especially in the Amazon” and the incidence of fires.
Miranda, who is the partner of journalist Glenn Greenwald and successor to Jean Wyllys in the Chamber, claims that there was an offense to constitutional principles and requests administrative, civil and criminal measures against the president.
