Family called Florida police over suspected attempted robbery, but it was just a stray cat.
Police responded to a call for a theft in the US state of Florida and ended up “arresting” the suspect: a cat.
The “crime” occurred in Collier County. Four police officers responded to a call on Sunday night (1st) at a home. Noises led residents to believe a burglary was in progress.
Upon arrival, police discovered the suspect was a kitten.
He was taken to a shelter, where microchip identification revealed that he was Bones, a pet cat who had run away. The cat was returned to his owner.
