In the coming days, the Bolsonaro government will send a bill to Congress that paves the way for the privatization of the Brazilian Postal Service. The bill will provide flexibility for any model that the Ministry of Economy defines for selling the state-owned company.
The text has already been signed by the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, and the proposal regulates the article of the Constitution that deals with postal services.
The privatization model is still being studied by the government, which is working with a schedule in which the auction is scheduled for mid-2021.
