According to an interview with Look, the Minister stated that he will resign from his post if the reform is not approved, as the country could go bankrupt as early as 2020.
The minister stated:
“I’ll get on a plane and go live abroad. I’m old enough to retire. If we don’t implement the reform, Brazil will go up in flames. There will be chaos in the public sector, both in the federal government and in the states and municipalities.”
