The veto in question is Veto 52, a partial veto by Bolsonaro that provides for control of the mandatory budget of the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) for the year 2020 in the amount of around R$$ 30 billion.
The problem is that this Tuesday (03), the veto has been discussed in the Chamber and several deputies from many parties joined with Rodrigo Maia to go against the proposal and thus put the budget of R$ 30 billion in the hands of Congress.
The deputies who joined Maia to destroy Bolsonaro's veto are from the following parties: DEM, PL, PP, PSD, PROS, PSDB, PTB, PSC, MDB, Patriota, Republicanos, Solidariedade and Avante.
Do you think this amount will be/would be well distributed if it were freely in the hands of Congress?
The truth is that they have already removed some parts of the text from the original proposal that would compromise them if the money were used improperly or distributed outside the established deadlines.
Considering that Rodrigo Maia is one of the biggest persecutors of the Bolsonaro government, we can see that they want to establish a true white parliamentarism. Are we going to accept this?
