A message circulating on social media brings a message attributed to Minister Sergio Moro in which he would ask for the end of IPVA (Tax on Ownership of Motor Vehicles)
True or false?
We looked for statements from Minister Sérgio Moro regarding the end of IPVA and found nothing! Not even on Moro's official Twitter profile is there anything about the end of the tax collection.
Searching the internet for information on the subject, we can see that the text is very similar to publications that were spread in 2017 and 2018, with the difference being that the person who would “end the IPVA” – in the 2017 version – was then-president Michel Temer. The issue is that the post appeared on humorous pages on Facebook, but many people took it seriously.
