Minister Damares Alves suspends benefit (Bolsa Ditadura) of journalist Miriam Leitão in the amount of R$$27 thousand. “Amélia’s” perk is over.
Truth or Rumor?
It is not new that we see a false statement between Minister Damares and Miriam Leitão. And, according to messages that are circulating on the internet, the real reason for so much happiness among the people would have been a decision by the Minister of Women, Family and Human Rights, Damares Alves.
According to the story circulating on social media, Globo journalist Miriam Leitão is reportedly receiving a pension of R$1,400,000 from the “Bolsa Ditadura” (Dictatorship Grant). According to the publications, Minister Damares Alves has suspended the benefit received by the journalist, causing outrage at the broadcaster. According to the publications, Damares has also suspended the benefit of 2,200 other people. Check it out:
“Míriam Leitão had her benefit of R$$27,000.00 cut by Minister Damares. End of the dictatorship grant for former guerrilla “Amélia” and 2,200 other bums.”
Did Miriam Leitão have her pension of R$27,000 (Bolsa Ditadura) cut by the government?
The same text has been shared dozens of times on Facebook (and even more on WhatsApp). Despite this, the story is not real!
Our beloved minister did not cut anyone's benefits, which would be a reason to applaud.
So it's a rumor!
