Consumers woke up bombarded with offers on Friday (27), the day of the long-awaited “Black Friday”. Despite the contagious excitement, the promotions advertised on social media are not always real.

The couple Márcio Fontanezi and Vivian Serafim are setting up their apartment and, therefore, keeping an eye on the prices of household appliances, electronics and furniture.

Last week, they bought a stove for R$ 849. The same part is being advertised this week for R$ 1,199, that is, the product is 40% more expensive.

The two also saw the price of an air purifier rise from R$ 199 to R$ 296.91.

Another couple, Talita and Marcos Zocaratto, have been monitoring the price of air conditioning for a while. They saw the equipment being sold for R$2,699 on November 14, and this week for R$3,229.

Consumer Gisele Bonaroski monitored package and travel prices for months before Black Friday.

The seven-day package to Maceió (AL), with hotel and accommodation, cost around R$1,900 until last week. The same price is being offered for a four-day package, that is, three days less.

Procon-SP has created a space on its website to handle complaints regarding the Black Friday promotions held today.

All registered complaints will be sent immediately to the supplier, who will have up to ten days to provide a solution to the consumer.
