“An audit carried out on the accounts of the insurance company Líder, which manages DPVAT (the mandatory insurance for motor vehicles), identified questionable procedures by the company that potentially violate the anti-corruption law. Among the practices questioned by the auditors of the consultancy KPMG, responsible for the document, is Líder’s involvement with people close to ministers of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and payments to companies whose partners have (or had) connections with the Court’s magistrates.

The report, which refers to Líder's accounts from 2008 to 2017, was obtained by the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, which published a report on the subject this Sunday (12). According to the newspaper, the audit was commissioned by Líder's current management.

One of the connections between Líder and people linked to authorities questioned by the audit is the insurer's relationship with lawyer Mauro Hauschild, who served as an advisor to STF minister Dias Toffoli – now president of the Supreme Court.”
