There are many variations between the original Pantanal soap opera from TV Manchete in the 90s and the Pantanal remake soap opera from TV Globo in 2022. The behavior is different and the mentality of society has changed and no longer behaves as it did back then.
One of these changes occurred in relation to the killer anaconda that devoured the character of an actor from Campo Grande in the first chapters of the global soap opera, which will no longer have another victim in the story, as happened in the original version of TV Manchete, in 1990. The Snake was killed by superior decision.
This is because, following the logic of the soap opera, another important character was supposed to die by being swallowed in the next chapters, but the writer of the remake, Bruno Luperi, decided to change the event. This time, the outcome for Roberto (Cauê Campos), son of Tenório (Murilo Benício), will be different. In the remake by TV Globo, the boy will drown. The snake will still be in the scene, but it will not be responsible for killing him.

The murders committed by the anaconda in the opening chapters of “Pantanal”, including that of the character played by the actor André Tristão from Mato Grosso do Sul, did not go down well among environmentalist communities that fight against the stigma and for the preservation of this species.
