Comedian Tirullipa was criticized on the internet this Friday (16/07) after publicly defending DJ Ivis, who was arrested this week for assaulting his wife, Pamella Hollanda. Tirullipa said that the artist deserves a second chance and even mentioned the name of God in his speech.
“What he did is not fair, but God will touch him. I am sure that he will return transformed one day. And we will give him opportunities, yes, because the world is full of opportunities, we have to forgive. Jesus died on the cross for us, he forgave all our sins. We have to forgive. Whatever it is, do as Jesus did… because you can have whatever career you have, whatever money you have, but without God you are nothing,” said the influencer.
Tirullipa's speech left internet users outraged because, moments before Ivis' arrest, the comedian had shared a post on his Instagram speaking out against domestic violence. "It hurts a lot, I'm the father of two girls and I don't want this to happen to them," he wrote.
