The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Nunes Marques, was chosen as the rapporteur for a security warrant presented by senator Jorge Kajuru (Cidadania-GO).
Kajuru wants to force the president of the Federal Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG), to open impeachment proceedings against Minister Alexandre de Moraes, also of the STF.
The action was filed this Monday (12).
In a document sent to the STF, Kajuru claims that Pacheco has been “negative” in postponing the opening of impeachment proceedings against Moraes.
The request was presented by the senator after the minister ordered the arrest of deputy Daniel Silveira (PSL-RJ).
Kajuru believes that the measure was an “attack on freedom of expression and the press” and violated parliamentary immunity.
