For Arthur Lira, Lula may even deserve acquittal, but Sergio Moro never does.
The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), changed his tune when commenting on his social media on the decision of Minister Edson Fachin, who annulled all the convictions of the former president, former corrupt, former criminal and former convict, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva within the scope of Operation Lava-jato in Curitiba (PR).
“My biggest doubt is whether the single-handed decision was to acquit Lula or Moro. Lula may even deserve it. Moro, never!” declared Lira.
The Federal Chamber seems to have no way out, a scruple is leaving and a beggar of allies is entering. That's exactly what it seems, Arthur Lira seems to be begging for allies on the left.
Former Speaker of the House Rodrigo Maia made a mistake and got lost along the way, and now, as if that weren't enough, Arthur Lira is defending the acquittal of a criminal.
How absurd! The big problem is not that Lula is running for office, because he would lose again, but how much these ministers are destroying our constitution, destroying all the work of the Federal Police, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Judges and all the agents who worked hard to bring justice!
