After being called to assist in a car accident in Wales last Sunday (13), firefighter Adrian Smith – 47 years old – had a surprise: he found his daughter dead in the wreckage of the place. The information is from iG.

The girl, Ella Smith, had spent the day at Broad Haven beach in Pembrokeshire and her boyfriend was driving her home when the accident occurred. The couple's car, a Ford Ka, rolled over as they rounded a bend and was hit by another vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.

“It must have been a complete nightmare for Adrian to find out his own daughter was the victim,” said a family friend.

Adrian was on firefighter duty when he was called to attend a three-vehicle accident on the B4341. When he arrived, he found the car crushed and his daughter in the rubble.

According to local police, Ella was the only one who did not survive the accident. The other three people in the car survived with serious injuries.

Local police confirmed the accident. In a statement, they said: “Sadly, a female occupant of the white Ford Ka passed away at the scene. Next of kin are aware and are being supported by specialist officers. Two men and a woman were taken to hospital with serious injuries.”

In a statement, the family said they are “utterly devastated by the loss of our beloved Ella. She was a much loved and caring daughter, sister and granddaughter. She was a beautiful little girl who we will all miss. We would like to thank everyone for their support at this terrible time. It has meant so much to the whole family as we grieve our Ella.”
