“The dialogue promoted by the US is, in essence, just a foolish trick,” says North Korea.
The North Korean dictatorship said on Tuesday (3) that the dialogue with the United States was nothing more than a “foolish trick” by the Americans.
Kim Jong Un's regime has warned that Washington could receive an unwanted Christmas present if it continues with alleged provocations on the border.
North Korea has given the United States until the end of the year to abandon its “hostile policy,” present a new approach to negotiations and offer concessions in exchange for its decision to end nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) tests in 2018.
Ri Thae Song, vice foreign minister in charge of US affairs, accused the Trump administration of trying to buy time by calling for “substantive dialogue.”
Song stated:
“The US-promoted dialogue is, in essence, just a silly trick to keep the DPRK (North Korea) engaged in dialogue and use it to benefit the political situation and the US election.”
And, according to the People's Gazette newspaper, added:
“The DPRK has heard more than enough dialogue rhetoric. Therefore, no one pays attention to the US anymore.”
