Part of the crisis is caused by the lack of public funds
Rede Globo has decided to sell part of its affiliates to save itself from the financial crisis that has already caused more than 500 layoffs.
The Marinho family is a minority shareholder in Globo Paraná and has put its share up for sale for R$900 million.
But what is striking is that the counterproposal from the majority shareholders – the Cunha Pereira and Lemanski families – was just R$400 million.
What a crisis huh!
