The Pentagon said the US will take all necessary measures to respond to Iran's attack on the US air base on Tuesday (7).
According to Defense Department spokesman Jonathan Hoffman, the missiles – “more than a dozen” – “were launched from Iran and targeted at least two Iraqi bases hosting U.S. military personnel, in Al-Assad and Erbil.”
Hoffman added that the Pentagon is “working through initial assessments” of the damage from the strikes and will take “all necessary measures to protect and defend U.S. personnel, partners and allies in the region.”
