Missiles hit a base housing US military personnel in Iraq on Tuesday (14.Jan.2020), the country's Defense Ministry reported.
The missiles landed on a military base in Taji, north of Baghdad. The ministry said there were no reports of deaths or injuries at the compound. Local newspapers said some of the projectiles landed outside the base and injured three civilians.
Militias linked to the Iranian government have threatened to launch attacks in Iraq in retaliation for the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
There have been continued attacks on facilities housing US forces, even after Iran retaliated last week by launching missiles at two bases housing US troops.
