Former Justice Minister Sergio Moro has been announced as the new director of the American consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal. The firm acts as the judicial administrator of Odebrecht, a construction company under investigation by Lava Jato. A&M operates as a business management consultancy.
A&M itself announced the new partner in a statement, explaining that Moro will work at the company's headquarters in São Paulo. The company also pointed out that the former minister is important to A&M because he specializes in leading and organizing criminal investigations, as well as offering advice and organization to clients.
“Global management consultancy firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) announces the arrival of Sérgio Fernando Moro as managing partner, based in São Paulo, to work in the Disputes and Investigations practice. Moro’s hiring is in line with A&M’s strategic commitment to developing solutions for complex disputes and investigations issues, offering the consultancy’s clients and its own consultants the expertise of a former Brazilian government employee,” the firm said in a statement.
