Former soccer player Ronaldinho Gaúcho, arrested this Wednesday (4) in Paraguay with fake passports, blamed the businessman for providing the documents. The former player's brother was also arrested.
Paraguayan newspaper Diario La Nación reported on Wednesday night that striker Ronaldinho and his brother, Roberto Assis, were approached by police in Asunción. ABC Color newspaper also confirmed the case, minutes later. According to the newspaper, Paraguayan passports were found that were allegedly forged with the identity of the striker from Rio Grande do Sul and his family member. He was in the country for the launch of his biography “Genius in Life”.
According to Ronaldinho, the documents were delivered to him at his home in Brazil by his agent. The former player and his brother were arrested at their hotel and are expected to testify this Thursday (5), at the headquarters of the Prosecutor's Office Against Organized Crime.
[URGENT] Ronaldinho was detained by the Police this month. Since the Ministry of the Interior has reported that, after bringing some luggage into the suite where the Brazilian was staying, they found adulterated Paraguayan passports.
