The Caxiense Association for Assistance and Protection of Diabetics (ACAD) released a note this Thursday, the 13th, denying councilor Edílson Martins.
Edílson used the association's name to denounce Mayor Fábio Gentil on a local blog.

CLARIFICATION NOTE
The Caxiense Association for Assistance and Protection of Diabetics (ACAD), hereby provides some clarifications to the population of the Municipality of Caxias.
On June 12, a post was made on BROTHER INALDO'S BLOG with the following title: “EDILSON MARTINS: DIABETIC PATIENTS HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MEDICATION FOR 60 DAYS”. Regarding the full content of the post, we are responsible for informing the following:
1) ACAD has fulfilled its role of defending the rights of diabetics, and seeking in all spheres to establish strong partnerships that guarantee the basics for those with the pathology.
2) The municipal government has welcomed us very well and treated us with due respect, having sat at the table with us, opening a healthy dialogue so that we can achieve a mutual objective, which is to prevent, treat and combat diabetes.
3) Regarding the alleged delay reported, where the published text refers to a DIABETIC ASSOCIATION, we must clarify that this information did not come from ACAD, because we are aware that the medication mentioned (METFORMIN) is delivered free of charge, that is, at no cost to diabetic patients, at any pharmacy affiliated with FARMACIA POPULAR, for which it is sufficient to present a prescription with a medical prescription.
4) The post mentions non-compliance with an alleged TAC (CONDUCT ADJUSTMENT TERM) on behalf of the municipal government. In relation to this information, we must clarify that there is no CONDUCT ADJUSTMENT TERM signed for this purpose, of which ACAD is aware, because if there were, both the delay and the alleged TAC, we would seek our rights through legal means, as we have a legal team that advises us very well in relation to the rights determined by law.
5) Regarding the meeting held at the State Public Prosecutor's Office, attended by the Municipal Mayor Fábio Gentil, the Municipal Attorney Doutor Adenilson Dias and members of ACAD, we emphasize that everything that was agreed upon has been fulfilled within the schedule established between the parties.
6) Our position is one of dialogue and partnerships, and we are open to any people and entities that want to embrace our cause, but we will not allow the name of ACAD to be used inappropriately.
